2023 CENSUS: ANYAOKU URGES NIGERIANS TO COOPERATE WITH NPC

Former Secretary General of Commonwealth Nations, Chief Emeka Anyaoku has called for cooperation with the National Population Commission, NPC to ensure the successful conduct of the 2023 Census exercise for the development planning of the country.

Chief Anyaoku made the call in Lagos during a courtesy visit to his Lagos home by the NPC led by its Chairman, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra.

In his remarks, Chief Emeka Anayoku urged Nigerians to cooperate with the Commission to ensure the successful conduct of the 2023 Census exercise for the development planning of the country.

He said, “a country without accurate population data cannot adequately plan for the development of the citizens. I urge Nigerians to cooperate with the Commission to ensure the successful conduct of the 2023 Census exercise for the development planning of the country”.

The NPC chairman in continuation of the 2023 Population and Housing Census advocacy, has embarked on courtesy visits to the major stakeholders. And the visit to the former Secretary General of Commonwealth Nations was the most recent.

Earlier, Isa Kwarra and his entourage had visited Chief Edwin Clark in his Abuja residence.

According to Isa Kwarra, the visit is to solicit the elder statesmen’s support in sensitization and mobilization of Nigerians to get involved and be counted in the 2023 Census.
